Biography
Originally from New York City, Dr. Grisotti earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from SUNY-Downstate, where she discovered her passion for pediatric surgery. Inspired by the resilience of her patients and the innovative work of pediatric surgeons, she has pursued excellence in this field ever since.
Dr. Grisotti completed her general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. During her research years, she earned a PhD through the Investigative Medicine Program at Yale University, where her research focused on the relationship between lymphangiogenesis and angiogenesis in dermal wound healing.
After residency, Dr. Grisotti trained at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she completed a fetal surgery fellowship. She is excited to build upon this experience as a member of the Fetal Treatment Center here at UCSF. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Grisotti is passionate about medical education and has received teaching awards for her work. She is also committed to sustainability, having led REMEDY (Recovering Medical Equipment for the Developing World) at Yale from 2017 to 2021.
