Marko T. Boskovski, M.D., M.H.S., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCSF. He is a cardiac surgeon with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. He has a special interest in surgery for coronary artery disease, aortic and mitral valve disease, aortic disease and atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Boskovski received his M.D. and M.H.S. degrees at the Yale School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency and cardiac surgery fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. While at Yale, he also completed a pre-doctoral fellowship studying the developmental biology of congenital heart disease. During residency, he also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the genetics of cardiovascular disease at Harvard Medical School. He received an M.P.H. from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a focus on clinical effectiveness allowing him to study how genetic variants impact clinical outcomes in cardiac surgery.

Dr. Boskovski's research focuses on the genetics of cardiovascular disease. His lab utilizes next-generation sequencing techniques to study the genetic causes of aortic aneurysms and degenerative mitral valve disease, as well as how genetic variants impact cardiac surgery outcomes.
